Moloka`i Drug-Free Movement

According to an article published in Ka Wai Ola, the inspiration for the Moloka`i Drug-Free Movement came from the devastation caused by drug addiction. Three sisters, each dealing with issues and consequences to themselves and their families, came together and started the movement. They wanted to try a different approach to address the problem. They believe that they can reach people using real-life experiences instead of traditional or conventional intervention programs. The movement held several successful events over the past year including an Ohana Campout funded by the GOG Hawaii Foundation in September 2022.
